Sixth through eighth graders in the Greene County summer school program visited the library twice this summer.
During the first visit the librarians shared with the students information about all they can check out and do and the library. The explained how the library is organized and highlighted free internet access, movies available to check out, and even a game system available for play at the library. Students without library cards were able to get a card and check out books to read during summer school.
On their second visit students had the opportunity to check out books again and explore the library on their own.
The summer school staff thanked librarians Jane Mallard and Lorene Hemping for opening the library early and taking time to share all the things the students can do there.
